Description
Songs and games are an integral part of RaR programming. In this course, you will discover why songs and games are implemented the way they are during camp, and advice on how to implement them in your own programs.
You'll learn three new camp songs -- you can find many more camp songs in the Resources section. You will see demonstrations of how both songs and games are used from recent camps. And we will provide game resources for you to explore more on your own.
For your assignment for this course, we'll ask you to update your RaR Activity Plan and upload your document to complete this course.
Objectives
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Explain how music and games facilitate 100% engagement during camp.
- Practice recurring RaR songs.
- Integrate appropriate song and game choices based on book and/or theme.

A great collection of fun songs and some nice resources to learn some games to share.
Excellent!
Loved learning the songs!
Loved watching the kids sing and play!
Love the songs!
This is so practical and helpful.
Hope it was OK I used my own format for the lesson plan!
Overall good! I could almost see this including a couple more songs, and potentially a couple examples as well. The second check in felt too confusing, because those phrases ("glue to hold camp together", "improving XYZ skills", contribute to 100% engagement) all logically apply to both music and games. This seems like a bad case of testing for precise slide recall vs understanding/comprehension. Would rewrite. Also on the first information slide, the bullet says "chosen well, camp can keep campers engaged at a bus stop...", I think what is meant here is that a song or a game keep scampers engaged. It doesn't grammatically make sense that the "camp" is chosen well in this case.
aw yeah!
